Every writer starts somewhere—with an idea, a memorable experience, or a story they can’t wait to tell.
Our Young Writers’ Showcase celebrates the imagination and creativity of students from The Bahamas and the wider West Indies. It gives emerging writers a place to share their work, introduce themselves, and take pride in what they have created.
Participation is free. Whether you’re a student exploring your talent, a parent encouraging a young storyteller, or a teacher helping students develop their voices, we invite you to explore the showcase.
Meet students who are finding their voices through writing. Explore their work and discover the experiences, interests, and ideas that inspire them.
Eleuthera, The Bahamas
Nicoletta joined the showcase as a homeschooled Grade 12 student. Her writing remains part of this collection, celebrating the creativity she shared during her school years.
Explore the Butterfly Stories project featuring students from the Caribbean.
The school showcase welcomes students in grades 3–12 who are age 17 or younger. There is also a separate area for college students to share their writing.
Young writers don’t need to have their whole future planned. Developing an idea, revising a piece, and sharing it with others are meaningful steps in themselves. This showcase encourages students to keep reading, keep practicing, and recognize the value of their own voices.
