John S. Poitier is a 19-year-old, 3-times published author from Freeport, Grand Bahama, in the Bahamas. His published works include Mangoes in the Summertime, The Birds, and the soon-to-be-released Son of Elohim, all available on Amazon.com. He is an avid reader, writer, and debater and is a firm advocate for social equality. In recent years, John S. Poitier has gained acclaim as an author, even being nominated for the National Youth Awards in the Arts. A college student at Virginia State University, John has high aspirations of pursuing a course of studies that would eventually have him realize his dream of becoming a general surgeon. In his book Mangoes in the Summertime, John shares his views of humanity through a colorful collection of inspirational poetry.
